Professor Zarras has developed a unique surgical technique that reconstructs the closure of the stomach according to the anatomical features. This not only avoids unwanted side effects such as dysphagia and vomiting, but also has a short recovery period. In addition to the surgical technique, our clinics use an anti-reflux stimulation system (Endostim). During this procedure, electrodes are placed on the lower part of the esophagus, directly at the junction with the stomach. They are connected to an implanted stimulator that sends out painless electrical impulses. These impulses train the muscles of the cardia so that they can again do their job.
