The cause of pancreatic carcinoma is unknown. There are only indications of certain factors that may increase the risk of the disease.
The first is smoking. Carcinomas in smokers occur 2-3 times more often than in non-smokers. Also, in patients with increased alcohol consumption, the incidence rate is about 2.5 times higher. The data obtained also show that in patients with a removed stomach, the risk of carcinoma is 1-7 times higher. Pancreatic carcinomas are cancers that are often asymptomatic at an early stage. In turn, there are no characteristic symptoms of the disease, that is, they can be caused by other relatively harmless causes.
