More than 2,000 patients of all ages receive in-patient treatment at the Urology Clinic every year, and in addition, about 2,500 outpatient surgeries are performed. In May 2008, a new branch, made to the best European standards, was put into operation. For our little patients, there are specially equipped children's playrooms and rooms for mother and child.

For effective treatment of prostate cancer in the early stages of its development, along with prostatectomy, the open method also uses nerve-sparing laparoscopic surgical interventions (Endoscopic extraperitoneal radical prostatectomy - EERPE). The treatment process is carried out in close cooperation with radiation oncologists, all types of radiation therapy are used to treat patients, such as, for example, radiotherapy and brachytherapy. In the field of surgical treatment of prostate cancer, the clinic offers a special innovation - prostatectomy using the DaVinci robot. Radical prostatectomy for tumor diseases of the bladder is performed with complete preservation of the nerves, which provides the patient with a satisfactory quality of life due to the formation of a urinary continent reservoir to restore the natural act of urination.

Surgical removal Renal tumors are treated laparoscopically and openly, but preservation of affected kidneys is always preferred if warranted. Further specialization of the urological department of the clinic is the removal of metastases after chemotherapy in progressive tumor diseases of the testicles. In part, this also applies to the treatment of patients with advanced bladder and renal cell carcinomas.

Thanks to the interdisciplinary teamwork of pediatric urologists and pediatric doctors, as little as possible, gentle examination and treatment of children, taking into account the characteristics of their age, is guaranteed. If it is necessary to perform an operation, it is performed by a (low-traumatic) minimally invasive method through small incisions, but taking into account the fact that such a surgical intervention is pathogenetically justified. As a rule, even complex malformations can be corrected at once (in one stage of the operation).

Diagnosis and treatment of bladder emptying disorders and urinary incontinence are held at the "Interdisciplinary Centers for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Urinary and Fecal Incontinence" and at the "Center for Neurology". This allows you to choose the optimal therapy individually for each patient, which makes it possible to quickly reintegrate the patient into everyday life.

For patients with erectile dysfunction, fertility disorders, hormonal disorders in men, sexual desire disorders (libido), premature ejaculation (Ejaculatio praecox), the clinic offers all conservative and surgical methods of treatment. Fertility after male sterilization can be restored by microsurgical reconstruction of the vas deferens (the ducts that carry sperm out of the testicles) to regain fertility.
