This technique is used for severe bone defects of the hip joint.
The cementless system using the porous external surface of the implant perfectly combines long-term stability of the joint with good bone integration and individual matching of the anatomical structure in the joint. Such a system is used in the individual selection of the required type of prosthetics in such cases as, for example, severe joint deformity, in addition to hip dysplasia (congenital hip dislocation), in cases where repeated arthroplasty is necessary, i.e. the need to replace the endoprosthesis.
The various components of the endoprosthesis used in this type of endoprosthesis are made from different materials.
The following sliding joint pairs are available:
- Metal / Polyethylene
- Ceramic / Polyethylene
- Ceramics / Ceramics
- Metal / Metal
