Consular offices of Germany in Russia issue all types of visas, including those for medical treatment. Processing times are currently 15 business days. The cost of a visa has been increased to 80 euros. Payment of the consular fee is possible only in cash in rubles or by credit card issued in Germany.

The package of documents must include:

  • health insurance issued in the EU
  • paid hotel reservation
  • up-to-date bank statements in the name of the applicant from a verifiable bank operating in EU member states

Connecting flights through air hubs in Turkey, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, UAE and some other countries. From European countries, a flight through Serbia is currently possible.

Is it possible to enter Germany in transit through Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland or Finland?

As an exception, Russian citizens are allowed into these countries only for humanitarian reasons, which include a trip for urgent medical purposes with supporting documents. For all other citizens of Russia, entry / transit through these countries prohibited.

Special rules for entering Germany apply only for those countries that the Robert Koch Institute classifies as areas of particular risk of the spread of coronavirus. At the moment, entry is possible without tests and vaccination certificates.
