• Mechanisms of heart rhythm disturbances, in particular atrial fibrillation and flutter, prevention of embolism during atrial fibrillation
• Invasive left atrial appendage closure
• Pacemaker and defibrillator technologies
• Invasive aortic valve replacement

Cooperation in scientific development: 

• Joint development of invasive ablation techniques for atrial fibrillation
• Modification and further improvement of medical products such as stents, implantable defibrillators, aids for transfemoral aortic valve implantation
• Development of an epicardial electrode for left ventricular stimulation through pericardial puncture.
