All types of thyroid diagnostics (sonography, scintigraphy, laboratory diagnostics)

As part of the diagnosis of the thyroid gland, for example, in case of functional disorders of the thyroid gland (autonomies, hot/cold nodes), a blood test, ultrasound examination and, depending on the problem, scintigraphy are usually performed. Fine needle aspiration biopsy of cold nodes is performed as a standard procedure. Patients with thyroid enlargement and/or nodules (goiter), autoimmune diseases and inflammation (Graves' disease, Hashimoto's thyroiditis), as well as thyroid tumors can be examined and treated both on an outpatient basis and, if necessary, in a hospital.

Fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) is a low-traumatic procedure with minor side effects, which is an important component in the diagnosis of thyroid nodules. In the hands of an experienced specialist in combination with an experienced pathologist, the diagnostic value of the procedure is extremely high, therefore, with the help of TAPB, a significant number of diagnostic operations on the thyroid gland can be avoided.
