The Center for Macular and Retinal Diseases began using the world's first device for the treatment of age-related macular degeneration

Our center under the direction of Dr. med. H. Kaymak was one of the first in Germany and Europe to start using photobiomodulation for the treatment of age-related macular degeneration. The unique light beam therapy significantly improves visual acuity and contrast - it stimulates the production of energy inside the cells of the eye, thereby accelerating their regeneration. At the same time, the volume of drusen in the central part of the retina is significantly reduced. For an optimal result, 9 sessions are enough, which can be completed within just one week. Therapy is also indicated for other diseases of the macula (macular edema, epiretinal membrane, retinal vascular thrombosis, etc.).
