We are delighted to share with you the exciting news about our patient, Martha Henze, who underwent hip surgery at the Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic last month. Despite her advanced age of 110, Marta has proven that it is never too late to seek medical help and return to an active life.
At the end of March, Marta Henze fell and broke her femur. She was taken to the clinic of orthopedics and traumatologists under the guidance of Dr. med. Sciences Dietmar Kumm, where she immediately underwent surgery. The patient was fitted with a hip prosthesis using an innovative minimally invasive surgical technique. The next day after the operation, rehabilitation began, and within a few days Marta Henze was able to stand on her walker again and take a few steps.
“Our clinic prides itself on having the most advanced treatment technologies in our arsenal, allowing even our most elderly patients to return to a healthy and active life,” says Dr. Kumm. Martha Henze is a vivid example of the fact that age is not an obstacle to quality treatment and full recovery.
