International master class on the treatment of complex hernias

At the end of last year, Prof. K. Tsarras conducted an international master class on the treatment of complex hernias. Experts from 30 countries took part in the event.

Prof. Tsarras, scientific director of the master class and head of the competence center for hernia surgery, demonstrated to the participants the technique of working with the Da Vinci apparatus for complex hernias - this area is a priority in his activities.

It should be noted that the hernia surgery center is constantly accredited by the German Society of General and Visceral Surgery (DGAV) and has a “Reference Center” certificate - this is the highest quality mark possible, it confirms that hernia operations are carried out with proper frequency and quality . There are less than 10 such medical institutions in Germany, and since 2016 we have been the only center with this quality mark in the region.

Despite the fact that 2024 has just begun, our Hernia Surgery Competence Center has already been awarded the honorary title of the best hernia surgery center in Germany according to research by the independent Focus magazine. A great start to the year for the whole team!
