My 24-year-old son, who lives in Moscow, was diagnosed with a malignant tumor. It was obvious to me that treatment in Moscow could have unpredictable consequences, like Russian roulette. Since I am now in Australia, and my son is in Moscow, for me one of the significant indicators was the clarity of coordination of all issues of organizing the urgent arrival of my son to Germany (and this is all visa issues), diagnosis and the operation itself to remove the tumor, accommodation, household issues and payment for treatment. I received all the information extremely quickly, of course, taking into account the 8-hour time difference between Sydney and Dusseldorf. It was also important to me that the DKA helps coordinate the details of the patient's accommodation with local hotels (including payment of bills), since none of us is well versed in the local environment.
